Hey, my name's Adam, i live in Virginia. I listened to you a while back this summer at DCLA, and today you visited my school, Langley High School. I love your speaking so much, I love the comedy and realness. Just wanted to thank you for you concern and action towards the youth today. I think your speech left big impressions on people today, hope to hear back from you. God Bless, Adam

This is michael, a student from at South lakes high school, your speech today was excellent. Your stradegy kept all the students tuned in, and i am writing to express gratitude on behalf of the school.
P.S Your experiences are really motivating

Dear Mr. Fitzhugh,
Hi! My name is Kelsey. I go to a Christian School. You came to speak to us a while ago about yourself and told your testamonty about drugs. I just wanted to say thank you for your great speach. I really liked the way you told us about drugs. We hear people tell us not to drugs every day, but the way you told us really caught everyone's attention. My mom's friend was killed by a drunk driver. My friend's father died of achohol poisening. So I really do know how dangerous drugs can be. I have never done drugs or anything, but alot of my former friends have. Of course, they are not my friends anymore and they don't even go to my school anymore. But I know that one day someone will ask me to do drugs, so I'm trying to make sure that I know how to handle myself in that situation. I think your testamony really will help me if that ever comes up.

Steve-
Hey whats up? I was at one of your presentations at Stone Middle School. I am just checking out your website because what you said really made a point to me and many others. I also wanted to say that "Nasty" was hilarious but made a good point. By the way that game was hard with the agree and disagree, made me think about the way i want to be in the future. Thanks, Tony

Hi Steve, I am a teacher at Riverton High School in Wyoming & you gave a presentation to our school last week. It was great & I asked my classes the next day how they liked you & they all liked you a lot. Said you gave them things to think about. You are doing a wonderful thing. It also made me appreciate the fact that I made the right choices in high school. Sports were a discipline for me & enabled me to get a scholarship. Anyway, I wish you the best. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work. God bless you.
Sincerely, Lisa

Hey there
My name is Melissa. I am a student at "TD" (Thomas Dale) You came to are school a few days ago and I just wanted to thank you for your words! For 10 years we have had so many people come and tell don't do this and don't do that about drug sex and everything else, but for so reason I got a different feel when you talked. thanks Me and two of my friends went to your meeting at Iron-bridge Baptist Church. When my friends called me to go with them I was like we just seen him at school but something inside told me to go! I am glad I did! All I have to say about that meeting is that I left in tears you really opened my eyes. The things you said where so right and up front. You have had made an effect in my life in so many ways I really wish I could mat you but I happy that I got to hear your words. Right before I come to your meeting at my school my boyfriend had just broke up with me and I was in a bad mood. When I left I had seen my X-boyfriend and after hearing you I knew had to talk to him without getting real mad. I know that life is too short to waste on the lil things. Thanks again
Melissa

Dear Steve,
I was just on the last retreat at Ocean City from November 17th to the 19th. I just thought that I might e-mail you and tell you what a great impact you have made on my life!
I am a 13 year old girl, just beginning what I hope is a long walk down the Religious Road. Many-a-times I have taken one of those steps forward to try and build a relationship with God. I honestly have to tell you that I felt like this was the time for me. When you called all of us up to the frount of the stage I went because I want so badly wanted to begin my personal realtionship with God. While you were up on stage praying for all of us, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Your speaking captivated me! I felt like I could relate to what you were preaching.

Mr. Fitzhugh-
Hi, my name is Alex, and I am at Issaquah High School. You came to Issaquah about 2 weeks ago. I can't thank you enough for that. To be honest, your message probably didn't affect most of the kids at the school, however, I know that at least some of the kids were turned away from using drugs or smoking by your powerful speech. I feel that even helping a handful of kids from smoking is a huge difference. I know how drugs can be misleading, I don't like to admit it, but I've been there. My freshman year, I came into school, thinking I was pretty tough, and got into doing drugs. I didn't realize how much it consumed my life, until I realized, I had dropped my GPA down to a 2.0. That is a mistake I have to live with for the rest of my life because due to that year, and struggling afterwards, I now cannot get into the top colleges I know I am smart enough for. All because I smoked weed for 1 year, and neglected school. I bust my a** every day to make up for that year, but it is too late. My grades have been brought down and it is very hard to get it back up. I wish you can affect some of the younger kids that just enter high school. To tell them, hey you can have fun for a year but you pay the consequences for possibly the rest of your life. I am frustrated when I see and hear underclassmen thinking that partying is cool, and that smoking weed is the popular thing to do. Sure, I know kids in my grade that still do it, some can even do it while maintaining their grades. The fact is however, weed will not help you in your life, and it is so easy to ruin your life with drugs. I want you to tell them, to learn from my lesson, and don't go that way. It just isn't worth it. Once again, I appreciate you so much, for taking the initiative to help kids that were once like me. Thanks for listening to me, I hope to hear from you soon.
-Alex

Hi steve I am one the kids that was at park jr high. I am the one you said looked like a movie star. And i wanted to say thanks for everything you said! Now i am going to ask god if i can start over again and make the right choices in life. I am going to try to find my destiny.
I really liked that song you sang about tring to find my destiny.
You are my inspiration to make things better in life!
Thanks,
Daniel

Steve,
Hi, my name is Alyssa. You came to talk to our school (NCHS) on December 13, 2000. I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your talk. It really made me laugh, but most of all it made me think. I wanted to thank you for coming and talking to our school. You really touched my heart when you told us the story about your family. I have an Aunt that quit smoking for 4 years now.. and she quit "cold turkey." But, I have an Aunt that smokes and she won't quit. She has a 2yr old girl, but she still smokes. I don't like that she does, but no one can tell her.
I have a question for you, if you don't mind. I have a boyfriend and I think that he chews.. but he doesn't around me, and I don't know how to ask him, or tell him that I don't like it!??! I'm just really confused on what to do.
Well, I just wanted to thank you for taking time to come and speak to our school. Take care and may God bless you always.
God Bless,
Alyssa

Hey there - I was at the assembly that you gave today at Rappahannock County High School. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed and appreciated everything that you said to all of us. We've had a handful of "motivational speakers" come and talk to us, but until today, none of them had motivated anybody from Rapp. I know for a fact that you got through to many of the people at our school that nobody else has been able to touch. I heard people throughout the day praising what you had said on various topics. Thanks again for your time and the wonderful message that you delivered to our school.
Amber

Hey! My name is Amanda. I recently saw you at my school and at Salem Fields Church on the Friday 19. I didn't get a chance to talk to you after the "concert" because you were "mobbed" by people. I just wanted to tell you that you are the best speaker I have ever heard. I'll be honest, I don't go to church much and didn't really have a good relationship with God but I felt something that night, I was touched. I especially like Love Jones. You are very good at reaching kids and it's good that you use music because I love to listen to music and I am definitely going to get your CD. I just hope that no matter what you keep speaking and reaching out to kids, like you did to me that night. Thanks to you I do go to church and love God very much.
Sincerely,
Amanda
p.s.-you were right about feeling happy once God is on the throne of your heart!! :)

Hey!
you just recently visited my school Stone Middle and really made a difference. That same day I was walking home from school, and some of the people I know were standing at a corner smoking. I walked by them and I knew they where going to say somethin but I minded my buisness. As I walked by they offered me to smoke. I thought about it and I remembered the really kool guy who came to our school and shared his story. Right there I instantly said no and walked off. I dont know if it ment something to the other kids there but it ment somethin to me. Thanks
sincerally,
David
